A darker red brown is used to further the process begun in the previous step. The shadows are darkened and detail is built up. Follow the original photo! Don't darken all shadows equally! Some will be darker than others. Some may not need this color at all because the previous color was dark enough. Remember to keep the integrity of the illusion of depth by leaving the softer edges soft.
